Pro-life group endorses Scontras

Dean Scontras, a Republican candidate in the First Congressional District, has been endorsed by the National Right to Life Political Action Committee.

Scontras is a pro-life candidate.

According to a release from the campaign, National Right to Life Executive Director David O'Steen told Scontras: "This endorsement reflects your commitment to renewing a culture of life, not only in Maine, but throughout the nation. We look forward to working with you in Congress to restore legal protection for innocent life. Your willingness to take up the fight for life along the campaign trail and in the U.S. Congress makes us proud to endorse you."

Scontras said: "I am proud of this endorsement. I have said throughout this campaign that I am proudly pro-life, and I will not change my beliefs for political expediency. As President Reagan pointed out, it is impossible to diminish the importance of the unborn life without diminishing respect for all human life. I will boldly defend this, the most basic of our values, when I get to Washington."

Finally someone that ask "What did the baby do?"

It will be nice to have a pro-life member of Maine's Congressional delegation. Dean is a breathe of fresh air in an otherwise lackluster, boring, sick field of candidates.
