Maine Democratic Convention update – 5:30 p.m.

At noon people were lined up outside the Civic Center to get their credentials.

By 4 p.m. the parking lot was nearly full.

One can’t escape the signs for candidates and delegate – even in the bathrooms. The Democratic presence is even visible across the street at Wal-Mart, where people sporting Obama and Hillary stickers are grabbing last minute provisions.

Obama-Hillary-Allen chatter is heard everywhere. Congressional candidates and staff are working the room.

PolitickerME.com is having camera connection issues, so there may not be any photos until later tonight.

They just gave the 5 minute warning.

The convention is on.
