John Edwards admission that he lied and dismissed reports of an affair with Rielle Hunter, a filmmaker hired to cover his presidential campaign, may have ended his public life, but did it also signify an end to the era in which the mainstream media controlled the agenda for national political journalism?

Thanks Elizabeth for your silence!
Elizabeth, thanks for the enabling your cheatin husband John Edwards to hide his girlfriend with baby from the voters. That stuff wouldn't have gone down very well in Iowa. It made it easy to steal Hillary's votes!!! Now, go buy some diapers.
Hillary Clinton should take on Obama in Denver on the convention floor. What's she got to lose? Nada!
And nothing about McCain?
The media gives McCain a free ride on this issue? No mention of his infidelity with Cindy while still married to his first wife. In fact, he proposed to her while still married to his first wife. The first Mrs McCain had been in an auto accident and was disfigured. How loyal McCain was to her? The woman who waited at home for him while he was a POW. Why would he be any more loyal to the people of the US as President?
I have no respect for a man who would do that to his wife. And why isn't the press - and your cartoons - mentioning that?
