The Summers for Congress campaign announced that it has filed its candidacy petitions with the Secretary of State's office.
Summers, a Republican, is the second candidate today to take the first step in securing a spot on the June primary ballot in Maine’s First Congressional District. Democratic candidate Ethan Strimling submitted his signatures this morning.
"The campaign's grassroots efforts and its network of volunteers is a testament to the organization that is in place," said Ruth Summers, wife of Charlie Summers.
