Volunteer support for McCain

Apart from Sen. Olympia Snowe in Androscoggin County, Maine residents stood up on behalf of John McCain.

In Sagadahoc County, a former Navy captain stood up and briefly talked about his strong support for McCain.

In Lincoln County, Dick Bailey of Dresden, said he knew he wasn’t going to change anyone’s mind that day, but urged the crowd to vote in November for whichever Republican earned the nomination.

“Don’t be an Ann Coulter,” he said.

See our video of Bailey’s speech.
