Charges against casino advocate dropped

Proving once again that "the house always wins", Seth Carey, the man behind the Oxford County Casino has had the assault charges dropped against him

Mr. Carey had a misdemeanor assault charge filed against him on March 18th. As a result, Mr. Carey resigned from his position both in his Casino role and as President of Evergreen Mountain Enterprises.

It is still not clear if Mr. Carey will be returning to the campaign in any official capacity -- or continue to work behind the scenes.

Wally's a Hack

Wally- looks like your vitriol and irresponsible/sensational journalism burned you once again. Maybe that's why you can't get a real job. Go back to collecting welfare and do us all a favor. If you are so against casinos maybe you should do a story on Maine's biggest casino- it gambles all our tax dollars away- it's called the Maine Legislature. Maybe you can go work for them- they have more cushy tax-supported jobs than any other employer in Maine.
