Chellie Pingree's campaign released second quarter post-primary fundraising figures today. Pingree raised $234,983 in the period from May 22 through June 30. Pingree has raised $1,585,518 to date in the campaign and currently has $191,870 cash on hand.

"I'm grateful to the thousands and thousands of people who have signed up and supported me in my campaign," Pingree said. "I'm honored to have them stand with me in this bid for Congress."

Pingree recently won a hard fought six-way primary for the Democratic nomination in Maine's 1st Congressional District. Pingree won that race with an impressive 44% of the vote, beating her nearest opponent by 16%. She won three counties with over 50% of the vote, including 82% of the vote in Knox County.

Campaign spokesman Willy Ritch said it's clear that Pingree's momentum continues to build. "This widespread level of support for Chellie--the thousands of people who have volunteered or contributed and the tens of thousands who voted for her--proves that Maine people know Chellie is the right candidate to stand up for regular working people in Washington and help bring about the change we need," Ritch said.
